Understanding the Fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Enduring)
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) explores the links between thoughts, emotions, and behavior. It is a directive and structured approach used to treat a variety of mental health disorders. This session, led by CBT expert Dr. Jacqueline Bullis from McLean Hospital, will give an overview of core CBT practices, how to implement them with patients, and how to use SilverCloud as a tool to support treatment in patients with anxiety and depression.

After completing this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe three (3) core CBT principles;
- Identify and prioritize appropriate CBT tools based on patient needs;
- Utilize appropriate resources within the SilverCloud Health tool to support patient treatment goals.

Jacqueline R. Bullis, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist in Boston with expertise in the cognitive behavioral treatment of anxiety, depressive, and related emotional disorders. She is a clinical researcher at McLean Hospital and an instructor at Harvard Medical School. Her research focuses on evidence-based and scalable psychological treatments for emotional disorders, including the evaluation and implementation of digital therapeutics. Dr. Bullis has authored numerous publications on evidence-based treatments for anxiety and related disorders and is a co-author of the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders, an Oxford University Treatments That Work series.
This program has been approved for 1.5 Social Work Continuing Education hours for relicensure, in accordance with 258 CMR.
This program meets the requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing at 244 CMR 5.00 for 1.5 contact hours.
