Session Title: "Conversational Intelligence®: Building Stronger Relationships and More Effective Teams Through Conversation"

Everything in our professional and personal lives, happens through conversation.

Conversational Intelligence® is a set of tools and frameworks that help us increase the effectiveness of our conversations so that we can build trust, create healthy relationships, and increase the effectiveness of our teams and organizations. Effective conversations help us increase engagement, creativity, innovation, and satisfaction. They help us move from I to We, from protect to partner, from transactional conversations to co-creative ones.

In this highly interactive 90-minute session, participants will be invited to reflect on and share their communication challenges and successes and gain and practice new skills and perspectives.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:  

• Learn the impact of conversations on our nervous system.
• Identify two core human needs that impact the effectiveness of our conversations.
• Understand the key factors to creating meaningful and generative dialog.
• Gain specific tools that increase the impact of conversations in order to build trust and encourage greater creativity, collaboration and satisfaction.

This activity is intended for faculty and faculty trainees.

Presenter:  Cindy Loughran, CPC, CMMT, is the Founder and CEO of Cindy Loughran Coaching, a practice offering leadership coaching and mindfulness training to individuals and teams. For over 25 years, she has provided personal and professional development through one-on-one coaching, group coaching, training and facilitation to a wide range of clients in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.
