Fourth Annual Stepping Strong Symposium: Innovation in the Continuum of Trauma Care: Prevention, treatment and Rehabilitaion
Description
The Stepping Strong Center catalyzes multidisciplinary collaborations that inspire groundbreaking innovation, effective prevention, and compassionate intervention to transform care for trauma patients. The Fourth Annual Stepping Strong Symposium features three panel discussions highlighting the continuum of trauma research and care:
• Preventing Injuries by Creating Safer Communities for Walkers, Runners, and Bikers
• Innovations in Bone and Muscle Healing
• Physical, Social, and Emotional Recovery Following Traumatic Injury
Please join the center’s global community of clinicians, scientists, and community partners for an engaging discussion about transforming outcomes for trauma patients through innovative research.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for both internal stakeholders from Brigham and Women's Hospital and Mass General Brigham as well as external stakeholders related to the Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation. Audience members are from various backgrounds such as clinicians, researchers, public health professionals, philanthropists, and healthcare administrators.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Recognize complexities in the built environment, gaps in research, and avenues for policy change.
- Identify multidisciplinary scientific approaches to bone and muscle healing.
- Assess barriers and opportunities to recovery following traumatic injury.
