DESCRIPTION: 

Life does not always go the way we want or expect. Whether a stressful encounter with a patient, a stressful day overall, or an unwanted change, the “cactus” in our lives can take a toll. Join us for an engaging presentation by esteemed author Susan Keane Baker who will provide practical techniques to use in your professional and personal life to help manage stressful situations with greater ease. In this one-hour webinar, Susan Keane Baker will walk through tools that can be applied to better deal with the stress you encounter, including techniques to prevent escalation of difficult situations, respond with more confidence when conflict arises, maintain a positive attitude even on challenging days, and employing empathy even when under pressure.


LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify four habits that enahnce brief & long-term relationships.
  2. Demonstrate how to listen for understanding in conflict situations.
  3. Describe three reasons people are difficult.
  4. Review techniques to reduce stress and increase positivity throughout each day.
