Treating Stimulant Use Disorder

This module will review the identification and treatment of stimulant use disorder in general, non-addiction treatment settings.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for practitioners with a DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances (ie. any clinician with prescriptive authority - MD, DO, APRN, PA, CRNA, etc).

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify trends in stimulant use.
  2. Describe harm reduction strategies for stimulant use disorder.
  3. Examine evidence for pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for stimulant and cocaine use disorder.
