ForwardImplementation Learning Community 2024-2025: May 16, 2025
The Implementation Learning Community that will take place on May 16, 2025 from 11am-1pm will focus on opportunities and challenges of obesity prevention and healthy eating/active living programs in community health centers. Steve Gortmaker, PhD, Professor of the Practice of Health Sociology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, is the keynote speaker. He will discuss the state of obesity prevention in community health centers, policy considerations, and share best practices.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for community health center staff and providers.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify three strategies to improve implementation of cancer screening at their community health center.
- Discuss and compare potential strategies to promote health equity at their community health center.
- Develop meaningful connections with community health center staff by engaging in interprofessional collaboration.
