Jesse Higgins, MPH, MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC

Jesse M. Higgins, MSN, MPH, RN, PMHNP, is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, public health consultant, and Director of Integrated Behavioral Health for Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Maine. She leads a program of behavioral health integration in outpatient medical settings, with expertise in program development, workforce education, clinical leadership, and health policy. Jesse also serves as psychiatric residency faculty and provides community-based technical assistance and continuing education on topics including trauma-informed care, substance use disorders, intimate partner violence, and workforce resilience. Jesse also provides direct psychiatric care in primary care and emergency room settings. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Southern Maine and completed executive leadership training through the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Jesse is a frequent educator and speaker whose work is dedicated to advancing equitable, evidence-based, whole-person care for individuals, families, and communities.

In support of improving patient care, Mass General Brigham is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
