This educational series will discuss challenging cases of IBD at a multidisciplinary forum includinggastroenterologists, surgeons, radiologists and pathologists in order to optimize treatment ofpatients with difficult to manage IBD. Providers at the BWH IBD center care for patients withcomplex and challenging IBD. This conference will enable them to learn from their peers aboutmanagement, best practices and novel ways to approach complicated cases. This is a muchneeded conference in order to improve care of patients but also broaden providers' knowledgeabout management of these patients, new research and novel therapies.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for gastroenterologists, surgeons, radiologists and pathologists within the Mass General Brigham network.

    Learning Objectives

    Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

    1. Manage challenging cases of IBD at a multidisciplinary forum including gastroenterologists, surgeons, radiologists and pathologists in order to optimize treatment of patients with difficult to manage IBD.
    2. Discuss with gastroenterology fellows, general gastroenterology attendings and surgery, radiology and pathology trainees and faculty about the management of IBD.
    3. Recognize the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration while presenting cases for discussion and education of colleagues/faculty.
    4. Apply skills learned to improve fellows' teaching and presenting skills.

The Mass General Brigham Office of Continuing Professional Development will verify completion of the activity and report to the ABIM. . Diplomates are responsible for checking their ABIM Portfolio for confirmation of MOC Part 2 points.
