BWH Stepping Strong Quarterly Lunch & Learn Series 2026-2027

The Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation hosts a quarterly Lunch & Learn series as part of its training and education initiative. These webinars bring together experts from Mass General Brigham and beyond to share insights on injury prevention topics, drawing on the expertise of both local and national stakeholders. Previous Lunch & Learn event topics included innovations in older adult falls prevention programs, the responsibility of hospitals to address violence prevention, and opioid use disorder prevention.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for multidisciplinary health care professionals involved in injury prevention and care, particularly those working in trauma and emergency medicine. This includes physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, psychologists, social workers, and athletic trainers, as well as professionals from public health, research, and community-based organizations focused on traumatic injury prevention, treatment, and recovery.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Define injury prevention and describe the diverse topic areas within the field.
  2. Develop partnerships and foster collaboration across public health sectors, learning from, with, and about each other to strengthen interdisciplinary efforts.
  3. Translate injury prevention research into clinical and public health practice through shared knowledge and team-based approaches.
