Description

Lecture 6 will include a reflection on the current status quo for neurology care and research with an emphasis on how value-based healthcare can be utilized to advance these areas.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for healthcare professionals and staff including providers (faculty, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers), nurses, and research staff with involvement or interest in improving health care systems.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Define important value-based healthcare and/or sciences terminology.
  2. Contrast the differences, similarities, and applications of quality improvement and implementation frameworks in healthcare.
  3. Recognize how each participant’s unique role in their teams can utilize quality improvement methods and techniques
  4. Extrapolate implementation, change management, and quality improvement methods to participants’ own practices and as it relates to their role in their teams
  5. Construct and organize a value-based healthcare and/or research team
  6. Reflect and study value-based initiatives and use those insights to plan future advancements
