Session Title: "Cutting the Gordian Knot: Confronting Challenges to Patient Safety in Anesthesiology"

The Anne Klibanski Visiting Lecture Series was created to support and advance the careers of women. These lectures bring together faculty from institutions that have hosted Anne Klibanski Scholars with MGH scholars, on topics that overlap both research areas.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:  

  • Review the story of patient safety in anesthesiology
  • Discuss underlying problems in anesthesia patient safety, including the importance of having a healthy culture of safety and psychological safety
  • Describe current and emerging threats to anesthesia patient safety

This activity is intended for: Faculty and faculty trainees.
