This is a live, virtual meeting.

In collaboration with Project ECHO and supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the MGB Center for Disaster Medicine will host a virtual, regularly occurring series focused on Healthcare Emergency Preparedness. Utilizing the ECHO principle of All Teach, All Learn each session will include a brief didactic presentation, a case presentation by a participant, and group discussion. Over a series of 18 sessions, the course is designed to bring together a core cadre of participants and create a network of practices across New England.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, nurses, emergency managers, and other healthcare or public health personnel with an interest in emergency preparedness.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Apply evidence-based and best practices and principles in healthcare emergency preparedness and apply response frameworks to real-world, case-based scenario.
  2. Demonstrate practical strategies to operationalize preparedness plans, including communication, coordination, and resource management during emergencies.
  3. Employ interprofessional teams to assess preparedness challenges, share lessons learned, and develop coordinated response approaches.
  4. Exemplify individual and organizational readiness by integrating peer-informed best practices into routine preparedness and response activities.
