MGB Intervening with Civility & Professionalism

This course teaches you how to recognize and respond to problems that happen between coworkers, so everyone can work together in a respectful and professional way.  

Target Audience

This activity is intended for all Mass General Brigham employees.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify when repeated behaviors between coworkers make someone feel left out, ignored, or uncomfortable—even if no one meant to hurt anyone. (Identify Patterns in Workplace Interactions)
  2. Practice ways to speak up or take action when you see or experience something that isn’t fair or kind, helping to keep the workplace positive. (Respond Respectfully in the Moment)
  3. Illustrate how to apologize and fix things when someone has been hurt by workplace interactions, so trust and teamwork can grow. (Repair and Restore Trust)
  4. Identify how small, respectful actions—like giving credit, listening, and including others—can make the workplace better for everyone. (Build Healthy Work Relationships)
