This virtual and in-person activity will educate physicians, nurse practitioners, midwives and advanced practice providers on issues where the fields of Neurology and Obstetrics intersect. This one day long course will feature speakers from multiple disciplines including Neurology, Obstetrics, Anesthesia, Neuroradiology and Neuro Oncology. Subjects covered include Preeclampsia/Eclampsia, Headache management, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Neuro-oncology, Stroke, Transgender considerations, and Neurologic complications of Obstetrical Anesthesia. A recoding of the presentation will be available for reference for attendees. (Please note credit is not available for the recordings).

Target Audience

This activity is intended for Neurology faculty, neurology residents, neurology advanced care providers, obstetrical attendings, obstetrical residents, midwives, obstetrical advanced care providers and obstetrical anesthesia faculty.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Cite and apply up to date information in managing neurologic disease in pregnancy
  2. Assess and identify neurologic emergencies in pregnancy
  3. Interpret and analyze ethical issues that can arise during pregnancy
