Pathways to Net Zero

November 5, 2025

This is a Virtual Course

The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) has approved the course for 5.0 hours of ACHE Qualifying Education credit.

Climate change and environmental degradation pose serious threats to human health. The primary issue addressed by this course is the significant environmental impact of the United States healthcare system, which contributes substantially to the nation’s greenhouse gas emissions.

This course is designed to foster a more sustainable healthcare system by educating and empowering those in key positions to make impactful changes, as well as those that are curious or committed to becoming more versed in these issues. This course aims to equip clinicians, administrators, and healthcare staff with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to improve their operations and work towards net zero emissions. By providing education on the environmental impact of healthcare and practical strategies for mitigation, the course empowers participants to implement sustainable practices in their healthcare work environment and through their respective roles.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for health system leaders/administrators and clinicians interested in sustainability careers, including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and pharmacists.
