The Recognition, Management and Reporting of Child Maltreatment

There is pervasive discomfort amongst medical providers to consider and assess for child maltreatment. Further, providers are uncertain as to their mandated reporting responsibility. This can result in inconsistent application of assessment, work up, and reporting, rendering families vulnerable to provider and system bias.

This offering will provide the education necessary to assist providers in recognizing and managing cases of child maltreatment; identifying internal resources for assistance and demystifying reporting responsibility.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians across the Mass General Brigham system.
