Spaulding Hospital Dr. J. Robert Shaughnessy PM&R Research & Education Day 2025
This activity is designed to celebrate departmental contributions in all areas of research. We are highlighting some of the work completed by our Resident Physicians, as well as fostering collaboration by bringing in experts to share their knowledge with staff.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants & other members of the healthcare team within Mass General Brigham.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe epidemiological aspects of physical medicine & rehabilitation.
- Discuss psychosocial aspects of physical medicine & rehabilitation.
- Review current clinically available therapies to increase SMN protein levels in patients & discuss improvement in muscle function.
- Discuss the psychosocial identity development for individuals with disabilities.
