The lecture covers core topics in addiction medicine, including screening, diagnosis, and treatment of Opioid Use Disorder.
This activity is intended for practitioners with a DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances (ie. any clinician with prescriptive authority - MD, DO, APRN, PA, CRNA, etc).
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the urgency for treating opioid use disorder to address the overdose crisis.
- Describe why treating opioid use disorder is important, feasible, and satisfying.
- Describe in detail how to diagnose and treat opioid use disorder.
- Identify common myths and review practical tips.
