Participants will gain an understanding of the healthcare delivery system and the social and economic factors affecting the health of Cabo Verdeans.  Through interactive presentations and discussions by CVAMS members, the audience will learn about various topics in surgery, cardiology, preventative care, oncology, palliative care, mental health and education.  In a concurrent mental health symposium participants will gain an understanding of trauma informed care.
