Description
Fear is expected as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to threaten our health, employment, education, and relationships. Knowing how to face fear is imperative to our physical and mental health. During this presentation, Dr. Luana Marques discusses the biological response to threat and when it can become problematic. Recognizing the unique challenges of health care providers, Dr. Marques shares evidence-based cognitive behavioral skills that anyone can use to regulate emotions and build resilience. Using practical skills that are components of the Benson-Henry Institute’s evidence-based Stress Management and Resiliency Training program, Dr. John Denninger will teach quick and effective mind-body medicine, mindfulness and positive psychology approaches that buffer the physical and emotional impact of stress.
