Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. Describe how clear, specific documentation affects DRG assignment, CMI, and expected mortality/LOS.
2. Collaborate effectively with CDI teams to improve clinical accuracy, quality outcomes, and financial integrity.
3. Explain how Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) have evolved from mainly research and clinical tools to now also measure both care quality and value.
4. Consider using PROMs in one’s own specialty area to measure quality or be better prepared for government or private payer mandates requiring the collection and use of PROMs
