Activity Description

A conception framework of functional gastrointestinal illness, management strategies, with application of the shared decision-making model

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Understand what the clinical underpinnings of the often-misunderstood term “functional” gastrointestinal disease

  • Highlight pharmacotherapy targeting functional gastrointestinal disease as well as other treatment approach

  • Develop scripts in which to broach diagnoses of functional gastrointestinal disease and reduce stigma of diagnosis and treatment.
