Diabetes: The Cardio Renal Connection
In an ongoing effort at Mass General Brigham to reduce administrative burden for our busy healthcare providers and to reinforce routine patient care disrupted by the pandemic, we are offering a series of innovative online self-paced modules targeted to appropriate primary care and specialist healthcare providers. Here is the first.
Case based, engaging and clinically relevant, this course sheds light on the linkages between type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and kidney disease. Your participation will allow us to evaluate an innovative adaptive learning platform whose content is customized to each learner. Depending on your baseline level of expertise, each online training module can be completed in as little as 15 minutes.
You will work your way through case studies, following patients through their treatment, highlighting ways to minimize risk and maximize positive outcomes through early diagnosis, multi-faceted treatment, and thoughtful administration and management of medication.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for MDs, DOs, NPs, and Nurse Specialists.
Learning Objectives
Completion of this activity will raise awareness and understanding of the links between type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and kidney disease. It will positively empower clinicians to better manage their patients’ risk for these comorbid conditions that negatively impact patient outcomes.
