The Foundations of AI in Healthcare course is a five-session continuing medical education (CME) program designed to equip providers, nurses, and staff with a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence and its safe, effective, and ethical use across clinical, administrative, and research settings. Participants will gain essential knowledge, practical skills, and strategies for integrating AI tools into workflows while maintaining clinical oversight, patient trust, and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for healthcare providers (clinicians, nurses, APPs), researchers, and staff across Mass General Brigham.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify approved non-clinical AI tools available at Mass General Brigham that support productivity and administrative workflows.
- Describe how AI-enabled solutions can enhance documentation, communication, scheduling, and patient engagement.
- Apply AI tools through hands-on demonstrations and case-based scenarios to address real-world operational challenges.
- Discuss key considerations for integrating AI into existing workflows, including change management and adoption best practices.
