Mass General Brigham Research Compliance Education Series for Principal Investigators
Principal Investigators (PIs) are responsible for the scientific integrity of research produced at Mass General Brigham Institutions and for instilling research ethics in the students, fellows, and junior investigators they supervise.
To help PIs navigate through a complex regulatory environment, Mass General Brigham Research Compliance has developed mandatory online training consisting of two modules: Research Misconduct Prevention and Financial Stewardship of Grants and Contracts. Together, these modules identify definitions, regulatory and policy requirements, and PI responsibilities for when a research misconduct allegation is brought to their attention, as well as best practices for fostering a culture of compliance and integrity within their labs and research groups, and provides an overview of federal, institutional, and sponsor requirements for financial management of grants and contracts. Many physicians and PhD scientists receive grants and contracts without formal training in research finance; this course seeks to correct that gap.
This activity consists of two 30-minute sections. You must view BOTH presentations and complete the post-test and evaluation to mark the course as complete.
