Module 1: Introduction, Problem, Aim, & Data Collection

A “MEMO” is a 10-minute educational module that delivers clear, concise, relevant information to the learner using a computer, tablet, or mobile-phone for easy access.

To date, there are no publications detailing nursing assessment and documentation during the COVID-19 pandemic applying an assessment framework to capture clinical decision making, nursing diagnoses, and key social determinant of health (SDoH) data. This presentation will detail the results of an exploratory pilot study using Gordon’s Eleven Functional Health Patterns to identify types and frequency of nurse-sensitive indicators, including SDoH, during the initial COVID-19 surge.
