Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Grand Rounds
The Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Grand Rounds are a series of archived lectures in which we aim to increase the attendee’s knowledge regarding practice of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the conduct of related research. We include lectures on topics from other medical and surgical specialties that are relevant to the practice of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. We offer a limited number of distinguished lecturer grand rounds, which are presentations by experts that have made significant contributions to our field.
Orthopedic/Trauma Lecture Series
The Trauma and Orthopedic Distinguished Lecture Series is incorporated into the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Grand Rounds. The Distinguished Lecture Series comprises 3-4 lectures each year on trauma and orthopedic topics. This Series was made possible by an anonymous gift to the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Program at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. Debate ethical issues involved in the rehabilitation.
2. Review the evidence for or against the various interventions for the treatment of conditions commonly seen in rehabilitation practice.
3. Assess the effect that changes in systems of care would have on rehabilitation care.
4. Describe how their interpersonal and communication skills affect the rehabilitation of patients.

This program is intended for Spaulding physicians and health care providers only.

To complete each session, you must view the one-hour presentation and complete the pre-test, post-test and evaluation.
