DESCRIPTION

This one hour online presentation will review the terminology, epidemiology, pathophysiology and treatment of functional neurologic disorders both in adult and pediatric patients. We will also review the diagnostic criteria, rehab's role in the treatment of FND and how to communicate the diagnosis with your patients. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. Understand some of the proposed structural changes in patients with FND
2. Speak with a patient about their diagnosis 
3. Understand the role of rehabilitation in the management of this patient population 

TARGET AUDIENCE

This program is intended for Physicians and other clinical staff at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.

Dr. Siegel completed medical school at The Ohio State University, and her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at Thomas Jefferson University.
