DESCRIPTION

This one hour online presentation will be a discussion of the effects of tissue health and function over time, with a focus on methods and approaches to increase the life span and health span, with a concentration on the aging population. New technologies that are available to aid in these efforts.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. To provide an introduction to the field of Regenerative Rehabilitation.
2. To share exemplars that establish a mechanistic foundation for the application of rehabilitation protocols to enhance functional tissue recovery.
3. To highlight the potential for rehabilitation modalities to ‘rejuvenate’ the regenerative potential of aged skeletal muscle after injury.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This program is intended for Physicians and other clinical staff at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
