HSCT Infectious Complications
The majority of this activity will be a lecture by Dr. Sarah Hammond, an Infectious Diseases specialist at Mass General who will focus on causes of sepsis and other infectious complications related to Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT). Along with complications that may occur during transplant, the program will also include indications of initial fever, mucositis and gastrointestinal infections and the nursing management of these complications. Participants will also have read articles recommended by her to enrich their learning while participating in the course.
