This bystander education course will provide employees with an understanding of how interpersonal racism continues to support and maintain systemic racism. Through scenario-based learning, participants will develop skills for recognizing racial bias and confronting discrimination. An overview of related Human Resources policies and practices will be given to support employees in actively dismantling racism within Mass General Brigham.

The scenario based instruction was helpful and allowed me to better understand the concepts presented during the training. I was able to take one of those scenarios and connect it to my own personal life. It allowed me to think more about how I could have better handled a particular situation and better communicated my feelings towards the behavior.

I wish it was required by law for every organization/company to receive this training annually. Refreshers help people "check themselves" in real time, in case these issues happen more than once (which they do).
