This bystander education course will provide employees with an understanding of how interpersonal racism continues to support and maintain systemic racism. Through scenario-based learning, participants will develop skills for recognizing racial bias and confronting discrimination. An overview of related Human Resources policies and practices will be given to support employees in actively dismantling racism within Mass General Brigham.

I thought the training was great and I appreciated the different scenarios. I think it might be nice to include resources for how to address these situations logistically within our own organization: steps to consult HR (email, brainswave, etc.), repurcussions for patients/staff who continue to exercise racism, how to get involved in our own equity/united against racism committee.

I thought this was a very good training. The four different perspectives gave multiple different stories to explore, and the interactive part helped to see what different actions would result in, and finding out what action would be the best for each specific situation. Very thought provoking.
