This bystander education course will provide employees with an understanding of how interpersonal racism continues to support and maintain systemic racism. Through scenario-based learning, participants will develop skills for recognizing racial bias and confronting discrimination. An overview of related Human Resources policies and practices will be given to support employees in actively dismantling racism within Mass General Brigham.

Well done
It was very beneficial to consider all perspectives so everyone has the chance to resonate with the content. It was equally beneficial to be prompted to process the information at the end and honor the emotions that may have come up.

Excellent content with sharing different perspectives
Good content throughout the video. Such variable scenarios allowing for deeper understanding of the importance putting yourself in others shoes. Such negative behaviors can really impact not only the individual at stake, interdisciplinary practice but also patient care. I find this video very resourceful and feel more educated for how to handle such situations.

4 scenarios
As a person of privilege, I appreciate how each of the scenarios took on a different perspective. I was able to feel more empathy for those who have dealt with micro aggressions, institutionalized racism, or racism. I am glad I was able to participate in this activity.

Can be uncomfortable
Though discussing racism can be uncomfortable, it is necessary for individuals to both empathize with their colleagues as well as advocate for individuals that endure microaggressions daily.
