This bystander education course will provide employees with an understanding of how interpersonal racism continues to support and maintain systemic racism. Through scenario-based learning, participants will develop skills for recognizing racial bias and confronting discrimination. An overview of related Human Resources policies and practices will be given to support employees in actively dismantling racism within Mass General Brigham.

I believe that everyone can learn something if they are willing to listen and discuss the different point of views in the work place. Everyone has a different experience during their day to day and I think if people of willing to learn and value the meaning of change, a real difference canbe made.

This was the best module I have seen on explaining racism in the hospital with common examples and convincing acting portraying different perspectives. The quality of this helps demonstrate the investment of leadership to make meaningful first steps towards ending racism. It makes me hopeful this module helps start these important conversations among my colleagues.
