Ending Racism: Everyone's Responsibility

I really appreciated this course and thought it was very realistically done. The scenarios felt very accurate and easy to imagine them taking place, and it was helpful to see examples of how to handle things respectfully and thoughtfully.

Racial bias

Understanding your own underlying bias is extremely important, being able to recognize it in various situations. Continuing to be willing to learn and open to different perspectives, will allow more inclusive environment for our coworkers and patients.

Informative Training

I thought this was a very good training. The four different perspectives gave multiple different stories to explore, and the interactive part helped to see what different actions would result in, and finding out what action would be the best for each specific situation. Very thought provoking.

As a person of color and healthcare worker, I have experienced similar situations in other workplaces. Have not been working at SCC for long and so far, I have not experienced this type of behavior. Hope it stays that way.
