It is inspiring that our hospital system is taking the issue of racism very seriously. Being a minority, I can relate to many of the incidents portrayed in the lesson.

Thank you

As a person of color and healthcare worker, I have experienced similar situations in other workplaces. Have not been working at SCC for long and so far, I have not experienced this  type of behavior. Hope it stays that way.

Racial biased comes in all forms. Whether intentful or not. People should be mindful of their audience, body language, and word choices when speaking to individuals of any kind.

Very important to note that this will make many people uncomfortable and that's OKAY. I liked that theses were all scenarios from our own institution. Really helps hit home that racism is everywhere.

I think the training was insightful. The different scenarios were helpful in demonstrating the racial bias and highlighting interactions that may be unintentionally offensive.

Jennifer Tierney replied on

Helpful in seeing the various racial biases and how this affects every level.

Jennifer Tierney replied on

I thought the videos were well made and the scenarios well explored/explained. Being able to cycle thru the different options without "correct/incorrect" scoring was also beneficial in seeing how things played out and the spectrum of possible approaches to take (or not take).
