This bystander education course will provide employees with an understanding of how interpersonal racism continues to support and maintain systemic racism. Through scenario-based learning, participants will develop skills for recognizing racial bias and confronting discrimination. An overview of related Human Resources policies and practices will be given to support employees in actively dismantling racism within Mass General Brigham.

inequities in patient care r/t racial issues
This should be mandatory for everyone when they start employment. Would also like to see it addressed in terms of how inherent racism affects patient care. For example, I have seen over and over again that people of color complaining of pain are not taken as seriously or medicated as effectively as white people, even when the cause of pain is clear for black person (postop, for example) and not clear for white person (subjective c/o back pain, for example). Very hard to prove that this happens, but hoping that there is a study being done someplace and that it will make it mandatory for clinicians to have some training in this

Ending Racism
The content was thought provoking. I work with many different cultures and try very hard to recognize that being white is a privilege. I try to recognize the difficulties that other cultures have in the workplace. I think that speaking openly and standing up for what is right is a start.

Great Training
I appreciated the scenario's portrayed throughout the course. Particularly, the micro-aggressions as those are more common in the day to day work. They validated the frustration and provided helpful tips to combat the day to day micro-aggressions.
