This bystander education course will provide employees with an understanding of how interpersonal racism continues to support and maintain systemic racism. Through scenario-based learning, participants will develop skills for recognizing racial bias and confronting discrimination. An overview of related Human Resources policies and practices will be given to support employees in actively dismantling racism within Mass General Brigham.

The content was thought provoking. I work with many different cultures and try very hard to recognize that being white is a privilege. I try to recognize the difficulties that other cultures have in the workplace. I think that speaking openly and standing up for what is right is a start.

I appreciated the scenario's portrayed throughout the course. Particularly, the micro-aggressions as those are more common in the day to day work. They validated the frustration and provided helpful tips to combat the day to day micro-aggressions.
