This bystander education course will provide employees with an understanding of how interpersonal racism continues to support and maintain systemic racism. Through scenario-based learning, participants will develop skills for recognizing racial bias and confronting discrimination. An overview of related Human Resources policies and practices will be given to support employees in actively dismantling racism within Mass General Brigham.

Of improving understanding
In order to develop improved tolerance and understanding of each others culture the most important thing to do is to spend time outside of the workplace and team building activities. We should find ways and opportunities to incorporate this at regular intervals to develop deeper understanding of differences of culture and environment in which we grow.

I enjoyed that the flow of the material was such that if you made a choice that wasn't the best choice for that scenario you got to see not only how your response played out but how the appropriate response also played out.
