The four scenarios discussed the discrepancies that occur in the work place and effective ways in which the issues can be managed and decreased in not only the hospital but other workplaces as well.

This was a great course! it really helped viewers put themselves in the shoes of different coworkers and different roles. Lots of self reflection opportunities.

Watching each scenario unfold really helped me see how important each person's reaction is, whether they are one of the two people involved in an encounter, if they are an observer/bystander.  Knowing how to respond, professionally, ethically, and conscientiously is important, if we want to create a workplace where all employees, regardless of their job, race, gender, orientation, or culture feel safe, respected, and appreciated.

I agree that through the scenario-based learning videos and understanding one's perspective, us nurse workers will develop skills for recognizing racial bias and confronting discrimination.

I think it's important that everyone takes accountability for the roles they play when it comes to racial biases. It's not up to anyone but yourself to get educated on the matters and decrease your own ignorance whether it's intentional or not.
