I think if you are a human who interacts with other humans, you should take this course. The information was conveyed in a very relatable way.

I appreciated how this training acknowledged that there are moments in which "speaking up" might be silencing a person whose voice needs to be heard. There are also moments in which "speaking up" is absolutely critical and can make a huge difference to the workplace community as well as the individual experiencing workplace racism. I'm glad that the training acknowledged that these decisions are not always easy and these moments are not always obvious. The training really showed how doing inner work, deconstructing our own defensiveness, and taking time to consider the words and experiences of others can allow us to continue to show up for these tricky choices.

Training is a bit long and would be interesting to study whether these sorts of trainings actually change culture/reduce harms from racism in the workplace.

It is good that we are going to be learning different perspectives on different people experiencing racism.

I think it was crucial and impactful that the scenarios and experiences presented were actual experiences of MGB staff.

The training was timely, as just two days after I completed this training, a resident supervisee brought to me an incident around a patient's overtly biased comments toward and about her as a young doctor of color. The scenario could have been one of those presented, and I was quite aware of my role as someone in a position of relative power to advocate or exacerbate.

The content was very well put together. I hope the hospitals actually take concrete steps to improve rather than just saying it.
